This web site wants to communicate in an immediate, simple,
complete and true way the study carried
out about the cognitive, behavioural process in the educational field.
In consequence of the integration of students with moderate learning abilities and special needs in the mainstream education, the Italian Education System faced critical conditions. That compelled to carry out a research in order to look for an effective methodology to help these subjects who, thought free by cerebral damages or trauma, they show cognitive deficits.
A noiseless and revolutionary research developed in the educational field independently of the traditional one in the clinical field where the subjects are affected by cerebral damages instead. The different conditions of the tested subjects, in the two different fields and the professional different competences about the same investigation’ object (cognitive deficits), brought to different investigative approaches. On the one hand, by muscular energy, on the other hand by neuroimaging. The conclusions disagreed, two different paths for treatment came out.
The investigative approach by muscular energy in the educational field made possible: first to discover the biological basis of the consciousness, second to correlate physiological and psychological process, third to work out a rehabilitative methodology by motor experiences. On the contrary the investigative approach by neuroimaging excludes the consciousness, the treatment is faced by drugs prescription, the genetics studies are increasing. To summarize in the education field a recovery of the cognitive deficits is foreseen, in the clinical field no.
These two different approaches require consistent political choices; if we add the fact that the spontaneous research in the education field is late, carried out the academic field because of the bravery and determination of a teacher of physical education, we will be able to understand how much it is easy to freeze or rewrite the scientific truth produced by research in the educational field.
