The Burnout

The Burnout

The lack of consciousness (the impossibility of the passage from objective to subjective), “the out time” to which the technological advanced society gives rise, it causes the burnout as well. It is become a phenomenon of global meaning and its growth is linked to development of the technological society1.
After all, this society increases the profit but press her components towards pathological behaviours. She subjects also to hard stress the professionals who practise a help profession becoming themselves in need of help; the Marcuse’s unidimensional society. Because, at the moment, the biological theory of the mind (consciousness) is used only for the manufacturing of robotic machines but not in the practical application for individual benefit, it would like to recover the deficit of the people in trouble without recovering this crucial passage. Its omission makes any effective recovery impossible. Therapist and patient are unable to communicate each other in an effective way, the tranfert/passage from objective to subjective lacks, they speck two different languages. All of that, in addition to the influence the technological advanced society has on the therapist too, it brings to burnout’s symptoms as the following:
a) Lack of motivation/emotional depletion.
b) Energy loss
c) Loss of value of own job; depression.
Because the world is not crowed by “idiot” as well as even Eintein feared for, if the technology had to go over the humanity, the individual needs to recover himself, his consciousness in order to live fully his life and to change the society in which he lives. To face burnout, education and re-education process are the paths to follow in accordance with the biological theory of the mind by Alba Bernardini.
